Hawaii white sharks

White sharks (Charcharodon carcharias) are regular visitors to Hawaii. The population that feeds on elephant seals off the coasts of California and Mexico includes sharks that seasonally visit the open ocean as well as the Hawaiian Islands.

The visitations to Hawaii occur most frequently in the spring time, but have occurred during other seasons. The fall is when white sharks are usually near the coast of California and Baja, targeting elephant seals. Weng, K, Honebrink, R, 2013.
